Derbyshire have named a 12-man squad to face Durham in the Second XI One-Day Trophy final at the Emirates Durham ICG today; 2pm start.

The Falcons reached the final with a five-wicket victory over Surrey in last Friday’s semi-final at Chesterfield, with Tom Poynton (58) and Tom Knight (56 not out) both hitting half-centuries after Tom Milnes had earlier taken 3-39 to help dismiss Surrey for 241.

Derbyshire had progressed to the last four after winning all six of their group games as they topped the North Division table.

Wes Durston will lead an experienced Second XI side featuring Ben Slater, Chesney Hughes and Matt Critchley fresh from the LV= County Championship draw with Kent at Derby last week. Tom Milnes, on loan from Warwickshire, is also included in the 12-man squad.

Derbyshire squad:

Wes Durston (capt)
Ben Slater
Chesney Hughes
Scott Elstone
Tom Knight
Tom Poynton
Greg Cork
Matt Critchley
Tom Taylor
Tom Milnes
Will Davis
Rob Hemmings

Supporters can follow all the action from Chester-le-Street on the Club’s official Twitter account, @DerbyshireCCC, by using the hashtag #DURvDER.

Derbyshire are back in home action on Wednesday 9 September for the start of the LV= County Championship fixture versus Essex. Supporters can save £4 by purchasing tickets in advance.
