Director of Cricket Kim Barnett says the Briggs of Burton Pre-Season Marquee will act as the ideal preparation as the squad enters the 2017 season.
The squad, who will start training in the marquee next week, are set to play in pre-season university fixture against Loughborough University on 7 April (1 day) before they start their Specsavers County Championship campaign at home on 14 April versus Northamptonshire.
Barnett said: “We’re looking to get in the Briggs of Burton Pre-Season Marquee next week so the lads can exploit it and work very hard to get ready for the season. We have got a plan marked out for four to five days a week under the marquee and that might go to six or seven so that they get full use of it.”
