Former Derbyshire and England batsman Chris Adams will be attending the Proud to be Derbyshire Heritage Project Lunch on Sunday 15 November at The 3aaa County Ground.

Adams is the first Derbyshire player to be announced for the event and will form part of a panel which will look back at some of the famous images from the Club’s history. There will also be a Q&A session for guests to pose questions to the panel.

The lunch will celebrate the Proud to be Derbyshire Heritage Project, funded thanks to a Heritage Lottery Fund grant, and a selection of photographs and items collated as part of the project will be on display.

Adams featured in 230 first-team fixtures for the Club and was part of the 1990 Refuge Assurance Sunday League and 1993 Benson & Hedges Cup winning sides.

During his nine years at Derbyshire, Adams amassed over 13,000 runs across all formats and scored a total of 31 centuries, before moving to Sussex where was named as one of Wisden’s Cricketers of the Year in 2004. He also played five Tests for England.

Adams recently released an autobiography entitled ‘Grizzly: The Life and Times of Chris Adams’ which charters his 30 years in the game, and will be signing copies of his book at the event.

Tickets for the Heritage Lunch are on sale now priced at £30 per person, with all proceeds going to the Cricket Derbyshire Foundation (Registered Charity No: 1155801).

Guests will be treated to a delicious two-course Sunday Lunch at the event which will take place in the 3aaa Pavilion.
