Pattonair, the world-leading aerospace and defence industry supply chain provider, has agreed an investment into the Club to support Derbyshire’s playing ambitions and investment in facilities.

As part of the four-year deal, Pattonair becomes the Club’s Principal Partner and has naming rights over the Pattonair County Ground.

Pattonair will next year celebrate 50 years in business and can count some of the biggest names in aerospace and defence amongst its customers, including Rolls Royce, Airbus and Collins Aerospace. It specialises in delivering thousands of products and services to its customers worldwide, with an emphasis on quality, cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

It has an annual turnover of around £400 million and an ambitious programme for further growth. It has numerous operations outside the UK, but is proud to have its state-of-the-art headquarters on Pride Park, Derby, where it employs around 600 people.

Derby is at the forefront of the Pattonair’s development plans and the company was keen to strengthen relationships, support the local community and create opportunities for talented new recruits to join the business. The sponsorship deal would help them to achieve this.

Ryan Duckett, Chief Executive at Derbyshire County Cricket Club, said: “We have worked closely with Pattonair in recent years and it is fantastic that we have been able to extend our partnership further.

“Their backing will allow us to continue investing on the field as we aim to compete across all forms, while we further develop the Pattonair County Ground as a year-round venue at the heart of Derby and the wider region.

“We are delighted to not only have a global business as our ground naming rights and Principal Partner, but one which has its roots in Derby.

“In a big summer of cricket, we will host the touring Australia Test team, as well as England in a Women’s International T20.

“Coupled with major events for the local community, it is set to be another exciting year and I look forward to working closely with Pattonair in this new phase in our partnership.”

Wayne Hollinshead, Chief Executive of Pattonair, added: “Pattonair is a truly global business, with more than 2,000 customers worldwide and 1,100 employees across all continents. However, we are keen to celebrate our Derbyshire roots and see this association with one of the county’s premier sporting teams as a fantastic opportunity.

“Our relationship with Derbyshire goes back to 2016, partnering with the club’s first Fireworks Night and Fun Fair spectacular, an event we have continued to enjoy and support.

“We’re keen to engage with all sections of the Derby community and particularly look forward to supporting events including the club’s annual firework display. We’re also keen to work, through the cricket club, with the region’s universities to create learning and innovation pathways.”
