The Derbyshire squad flew out to Abu Dhabi this morning to begin the 10-day Briggs of Burton Pre-Season Tour, the third straight year the county will tour the UAE.
The tour will feature four white-ball fixtures against county opposition, beginning with a 50-over fixture versus Essex on Thursday 10 March at the state-of-the-art Sheikh Zayed Stadium complex.
The tour will also include a 50-over match versus Worcestershire and two Twenty20 fixtures against a Worcestershire and Warwickshire combined XI and Leicestershire.
The Test ground venue will also offer a warm weather backdrop for an intense schedule of outdoor training sessions as the squad finalise their preparations for the new campaign. The tour concludes on Thursday 17 March.
