With the cancellation of the Markeaton Park fireworks event, Derbyshire has stepped in to host what will be the biggest display in Derby this Fireworks Night.
Following talks with Derby City Council, the Fireworks Night & Fun Fair spectacular on Saturday 5 November, in partnership with Pattonair – the leading aerospace and defence supply chain service provider – will ensure the city has a major fireworks night event.
There’s lots to look forward to on the night, with music and entertainment from Capital Breakfast’s Dino and Pete, a massive pyrotechnic and fireworks display and a large fun fair.
Gates open at 5pm, with the spectacular fireworks display from 7pm. Tickets are on sale now, with discounts available for those who buy in advance.

Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Communities and City Centre Regeneration, Martin Rawson said: “I am delighted to have been able to work closely with Derbyshire County Cricket Club in order to deliver an alternative Fireworks Night event.
“I am looking forward to what I’m sure will be a great evening.”
Chief Executive, Simon Storey added: “When budget pressures meant that Derby City Council could not financially sustain the traditional event in Markeaton Park, we immediately approached the Council to offer an alternative venue.
“We have terrific facilities and the ground will provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all the family to enjoy a fireworks display in the heart of Derby.
“Similar events around the country regularly attract over 5,000 people and we expect our event to be every bit as popular. It is sure to be a great opportunity for Derby to get together and we hope to make the fireworks at The 3aaa County Ground an annual event in the City’s calendar.”

VIP Hospitality is available in the 3aaa Pavilion and will provide the best seats in the house for the evening’s entertainment.
Hospitality includes a two-course meal and a first-class view of the fireworks spectacular. Hospitality is priced at £30 for adults and £17.50 for juniors.
