Derbyshire Second XI slipped to 91-7 at the close of play on Day One of the Second XI Championship match versus Lancashire at Northern CC, Crosby.
Large parts of the day were lost due to adverse weather but play was able to begin at 5.00pm, at which time Derbyshire were put into bat by their hosts with 40 overs left in the day.
The visitors lost wickets at regular intervals with regular first-teamers Jordan Clark and Tom Bailey amongst the wickets for Lancashire.
Ben Slater and Scott Elstone were the only Derbyshire players to make a significant score on Day One, scoring 27 and 29 respectively, as the visitors ended the day on 91-7 with Tom Milnes on 12 not out going into the second day.
