England vs Windies: One day to go

Written by Danny Painter

England face Windies in international Twenty20 action at The Pattonair County Ground tomorrow starting at 7pm, aiming to secure a second-consecutive series win over the visitors.

Having already defeated the West Indies 2-0 in the ODI series earlier this summer, Heather Knight’s side will bring a 1-0 lead to Derby for the final game of the three-match Vitality WIT20 series.

As well as potentially wrapping up a victorious series, England will also be looking to extend their unbeaten run to 15 games, which would see them make it three-consecutive wins at The Pattonair County Ground, having defeated New Zealand at Derby on two-separate occasions in previous years.

Danielle Wyatt smashed 81 from just 55 deliveries as England took a 1-0 lead in the series at Northampton, while Linsey Smith and Katherine Brunt both took 2-22 in the victory.

England cannot lose the series, as the game in Derby is the final one in the series, but the hosts will be determined not to let their lead slip against a Windies side that are yet to overcome them this year.

Don’t miss a moment of the action-packed international clash. Tickets are available to buy on the gate, priced at just £10 for Adults and £3 for Juniors.

Family Tickets are also available (Two Adults and Two Juniors) for just £23.
