Billy Godleman has been awarded his County Cap by Derbyshire County Cricket Club.
The 26-year-old was awarded his cap by Elite Performance Director Graeme Welch during the lunch interval on Day Three versus Leicestershire at The 3aaa County Ground. He is the 111th Derbyshire player to receive his County Cap.
The opening batsman was also named as the 2015 Members’ Player of the Year and was awarded the Elizabeth Flintoff Memorial Trophy by long-standing Member Alan Flintoff.
Godleman has enjoyed his best season in a Derbyshire shirt, passing 1,000 first-class runs in a season for the first time in his career this summer. In total, Godleman has to date scored 1,361 runs across all three formats, including three centuries.
Godleman, who was also named as the Club’s four-day Vice-Captain this season, became only the fifth Derbyshire player in history to score three successive first-class centuries with a hundred against Leicestershire followed up with back-to-back tons against Kent.

He has to date scored 1,018 LV= County Championship runs and is the sixth highest runs scorer in Division Two this summer. He has also hit over 300 runs across the two one-day formats.
Godleman has scored 1,778 first-class runs in total for Derbyshire in 33 matches, including four centuries.
