Billy Godleman top-scored for the MCC in their 113 run victory over Nepal in the first Twenty20 match of the Legacy Tour.

Godleman, who also hit 10 and 39 in a first-class victory last week, smashed 54 from just 30 balls, including four fours and four sixes, as the MCC posted a total of 189-7, before Nepal were dismissed for 76 in less than 14 overs.

The score is Godleman’s second white-ball half-century of the tour, having also struck 52 in a 50-over fixture just five days before.

New signings Sean Abbott and Ben McDermott were in action for Australia in their final T20 against Pakistan, and the former played a starring role by taking 2-14 from his four overs.

The Derbyshire pair combined for Abbott’s first wicket of the match, as Australia powered their way to a ten-wicket win.

Matt Critchley helped Fairfield Liverpool to a five-wicket victory over St George, with the all-rounder hitting 30 while opening the batting for the Australian side.

They chased down the target of 328 in 85 overs, as Arjun Nair top-scored with an unbeaten 134, while Luke Ohrynowsky also hit 64 in the victory.

Luis Reece managed 14 on the opening day of Gosnells’ clash with Melville in the Western Australian Cricket Association – First Grade, in which they were all out for 242.

Fynn Hudson-Prentice was also in action for Lancaster Park in the Designer Homes Premiership One-Day Cup against Old Boys Collegians CC.

The all-rounder struck 14 with the bat, before taking his tenth wicket of the season in New Zealand, but he could not prevent his side from a one-wicket defeat.
