Karl Krikken to speak at Cricket Society Lunch

Former Derbyshire wicketkeeper-batsman Karl Krikken will be guest speaker at the next Derbyshire Cricket Society lunch, on Thursday 29 March at The 3aaa County Ground.

Krikken, who played over 400 matches for the Club between 1987 and 2003, went on to become Head Coach in 2011 and lead Derbyshire to the County Championship Division Two title in his first full season in 2012.

In total, he played 213 first-class matches for Derbyshire and scored 5,705 runs with a top-score of 104, whilst he claimed 525 catches and 31 stumpings as wicketkeeper.

He also featured in 203 List A matches for the Club and hit 1,671 runs before retiring during the 2003 season.

Since leaving Derbyshire, Krikken went on to become Director of Cricket at Shropshire CCC and earlier this year was appointed as Lead Coach of the Indoor Cricket Centre at Emirates Old Trafford, and Head Coach of Lancashire CCC’s Under 14s.

He will speak at the Derbyshire Cricket Society Lunch on Thursday 29 March in the Legends Lounge of the Elite Performance Centre at The 3aaa County Ground, starting at 12pm. The deadline for booking is Thursday 22 March.
