Wayne Madsen says the support of the home crowd can play a big role this summer as Derbyshire look to progress in the NatWest T20 Blast.
The schedule of the competition has been revamped for 2017, with the majority of matches taking place in July and August during the school summer holidays.
Tickets for all seven home games, which starts with the local derby against Yorkshire Vikings at Chesterfield on Saturday 8 July, go on general sale at 10am on Wednesday 1 March.
He said: “The NatWest T20 Blast is about excitement. It really is entertaining with how the guys strike the ball and the atmosphere at the ground is great.
“With it this year taking place mostly in the school holidays, it gives kids and families a greater opportunity to come and attend, and cheer us on.
“This will be great for them and the team. Having great support at home is crucial for us. We had a number of good wins last year and want to back that up this season.”
The Falcons will be bolstered with the inclusions of the world’s number one limited overs bowler, Imran Tahir, and South Africa fast bowler, Hardus Viljoen, in their side.
Madsen added: “It shows a great intent from the Club to bring in Imran. He is vastly experienced and currently the world number one Twenty20 bowler.
“And Hardus was excellent in the Ram Slam T20 in South Africa. Added to the players already here, the squad are in a really good position.
“It would be great to see as many fans as possible come along and experience the excitement for themselves.”
Tickets will be available for all fixtures from Wednesday and can be purchased online, over the phone or in person at the Ticket Office at The 3aaa County Ground; Nottingham Road, Derby, DE21 6DA.
