Wayne Madsen has been selected by Peshawar Zalmi for the upcoming Pakistan Super League competition.

The Derbyshire all-rounder, who was named PCA Twenty20 MVP in 2017, will compete in the Twenty20 competition, taking place from 14 February to 17 March at venues in Pakistan and United Arab Emirates.

Madsen was selected in the PSL draft and will join former teammate Wahab Riaz and England internationals Dawid Malan, Chris Jordan and Liam Dawson at Peshawar.

The 34-year-old was the county’s leading run scorer in last summer’s Vitality Blast, scoring 328 runs at an average of 33 and a top score of 76 not out.

In September, he signed a new three-year deal to keep him at Derbyshire until the end of the 2022 season.
