The Club is saddened by the news that Malcolm Nicholas died earlier this week at the age of 81.
Heritage Officer David Griffin commented, “Malcolm Nicholas was a lifelong member of the Club and served between 2000 and 2013 on the General Committee as Honorary Treasurer.
“His contribution to the Club was significant over a long period of time and his attention to detail where Club finances were concerned was greatly appreciated within the Committee Room. Malcolm was a close and reliable confidant of many colleagues and his wise counsel was frequently sought.
“Malcolm was awarded a Vice Presidency in 2013 and continued to support the Club regularly until his illness prevented his attendance at games.
The thoughts of everyone connected with the Club are with Malcolm’s family and friends, and especially with Jen, his wife.”
