Pre-Match Talk

Wayne Madsen says the squad are going into the Warwickshire game with confidence as they look to return to winning ways at The 3aaa County Ground.

Derbyshire face Warwickshire in the Royal London One-Day Cup on Wednesday and Madsen is looking to continue his good run of form after hitting 201 runs so far in the competition.

Derbyshire have posted scores of 300 plus in three consecutive games for the first time in the Club’s history in List A cricket.

Madsen said: “As a batting unit it is great to put big totals on the board and gives the team a lot of confidence and the pleasing thing for us as a team is everyone has contributed towards that.

“Warwickshire are an experienced team and have some very good cricketers in their squad. For us though we are probably catching them at a good time as they have had a few losses in this competition so far.

“We will go in with a lot of confidence to the game and are excited about our chances on Wednesday.”
