Rain washes out Seconds Twenty20 at Glossop

The same bad weather which forced an early end to the Second XI Championship match between Derbyshire and MCC Young Cricketers on Wednesday 28 July put pay to the Twenty20 matches the following day.

The two sides were due to play two Second XI Twenty20 fixture at Glossop Cricket Club the day after finishing their Championship match. But persistent rain since Tuesday evening ended the three-day match a day early and with conditions unplayable, also dashed any hopes of Twenty20 action before a toss could be made.

Derbyshire Second XI are next in action on Wednesday 5 July, when they face Lancashire Lightning in a Twenty20 match at Westhoughton CC; 11.30am start.
