The Second XI Championship game between Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire was abandoned after rain prevented any further play.

Day One started on time but brought just 8.4 overs before rain forced the players to leave the field with Derbyshire 11-1, having seen Ewan Cox bowled by Zak Chappell for three.

Tyler McGladdery was unbeaten on four, while Tom Wood was not out on three when the rain curtailed any further play in the game, with Day Two and Three unable to start.

The Second XI will next be in action Monday 17 June, when they face Lancashire in the Second XI Championship at Belper Meadows.
