Derbyshire’s overseas signing Imran Tahir has moved to the top of the ODI  rankings after South Africa’s 5-0 series win versus Sri Lanka.

During the five-match ODI series, Tahir claimed 10 wickets at an average of 20, including best figures of 3-26 and conceding just four runs an over across 48.1 overs bowled.

The 37-year-old is now currently the world’s number one limited overs bowler in international cricket, after reaching the top of both the ODI and T20I bowler rankings.

Tahir is due to arrive at Derbyshire in June after the conclusion of the Champions Trophy and will be available for all forms for the remainder of the season.
