Tuesday 9th August 2016
& News
Written by Danny Painter

The Derbyshire Cricket Board is hiring for a number of positions on the DCB Board of Directors.

Due to a number of existing Directors completing their term of office, and a new progressive strategy being deployed by the England & Wales Cricket Board, the Derbyshire Cricket Board is seeking applications for a number of positions on the DCB Board of Directors. These positions will include the appointment of one director with a specific lead responsibility for Finance but will also include appointments to support the development of cricket within clubs, among children and across diverse communities in Derbyshire.

Successful candidates will provide strong support of the development of the Cricket Boards strategy to support the ECB’s ‘Cricket Unleashed’ strategy to inspire the next generation to take up a lifelong association with the game, create clubs and leagues that provide the experience players want. The strategy also looks to make it easier for people from all groups to engage with the game and create opportunities for everybody, everywhere to define their own game.

Candidates should be able to draw on experience of working collaboratively with a range of different stakeholders to support the implementation of a new strategy or programme.

For the position of Finance Director, applications are sought from candidates with professional experience in financial management or accounting and a job description is available on request.

We are keen to ensure diversity of insight and experience across the board, and would welcome applicants from those currently not involved in recreational cricket in Derbyshire. However, it is expected that applicants will have a strong interest in the benefits of participation in physical recreation and sport.
