Matt Critchley says the Falcons remain firmly in the mix for a NatWest T20 Blast quarter-final spot following the 29-run win against Worcestershire Rapids at The 3aaa County Ground.
Critchley said: “To get 192 was outstanding and we bowled and fielded really well. We got off to a good start with a few wickets in the powerplay and we managed to take wickets all the way through.
“I was a bit nervous when Cox hit me for a couple of sixes but then he hit one straight up and Wayne (Madsen) caught it. Everyone has a role in the team and it’s about sticking to it and we all back each other.
“The last few games we’ve had to win every one and we’ve kept ourselves in contention so going into the last game, there’s still something on it and we are still in the mix for a quarter-final place.”
Derbyshire face Durham Jets away in their final NatWest T20 Blast group stage fixture on Friday 29 July.
