Shiv Thakor says he’s looking forward to welcoming the Club’s new winter signings to The 3aaa County Ground this summer.
The all-rounder, who is recovering from a back injury sustained last season, has been impressed by the Club’s summer recruits who will add international experience to the line-up in 2017.
The 23-year-old spoke to DerbyshireTV about the new arrivals, his rehabilitation from injury and hopes for the summer ahead.
He said: ” There is excitement about the upcoming season, so everything is now focused on that. We have had some exciting news before Christmas about new players joining us and they are all performing well which is nice.
“We’ve made some brilliant additions and signed some world class players. They’re people who can have a huge impact in games and we’re excited to have them with us.
“Hardus [Viljoen] has been getting wickets and runs, Imran [Tahir] is world-renowned and Jeevan [Mendis] has just got a hundred, so there’s great people coming in.”
He added: “Touch wood, my back is all good now. I’m still doing my rehab and it is going nicely. I had a scan that was all clear which was a big relief really and has given me a bit of reassurance.
“I’ve been building up the training and essentially I’m back now and will be back fully bowling by the end of the month which is something to look forward to.”
