Captain Billy Godleman says he’s pleased to commit his long-term future to Derbyshire after signing a new contract extension.

The 27-year-old, who will lead the side in the Specsavers County Championship and Royal London One-Day Cup this summer, has put pen to paper on a new deal which will run until the end of the 2019 season.

Godleman said: ” I’m really pleased to commit my future to the Club. It’s really nice to have the support and backing of the Club.

“My plan is to repay them with hard work this winter and behind the scenes. I’m looking forward to leading the team out in the summer, its an incredible honour for me to Captain Derbyshire and to lead my friends day in day out.”

Join Godleman at your county cricket club today. The Club has reduced its price and simplified its categories to offer one single Club Membership at only £139 if purchased before 1 February Early Bird deadline.
