Viljoen picked for new T10 Cricket League

Hardus Viljoen will compete in the new T10 Cricket League in the United Arab Emirates this December after being selected in the draft by Maratha Arabians.

The new innovative tournament, taking place from December 14 to 17, will see teams take part in 10-over-a-side matches that will spread over 90 minutes (45 minutes each side) in Sharjah.

Viljoen, who took 14 wickets for Derbyshire in T20 Blast this summer, has been picked up by Maratha franchise who will be captained by India legend, Virender Sehwag.

His teammates will also include the likes of Mohammad Amir, Alex Hales, Kumar Sangakkara, Lendl Simmons and Wayne Parnell.

The team will be managed by former Warwickshire coach and current UAE coach Dougie Brown, while Pakistan great Wasim Akram will also be with the side as a team mentor.
