As we gear up for the 2025 Vitality Blast, we take a weekly look at an iconic Friday Night Falcons T20 moment at The County Ground. This week, we look back at our highest-ever T20 score, which came against Leicestershire Foxes in 2023.
Tom Wood was the batter who took centre stage, blitzing a 110 off 57 balls, to help Mickey Arthur’s side to their highest Vitality Blast score of 231-4 at Derby, with Harry Came (56) also playing a crucial knock, as the openers put on 148 for the first wicket.
Wood smashed 12 fours and four sixes on his way to a maiden T20 century, his second in all formats for Derbyshire, before Zaman Khan (3-27) starred with the ball to earn the Falcons a 71-run victory.

The second Friday Night Falcons fixture of the summer takes place on Friday 20 June, as Lancashire Lightning come to Derby, before we finish our North Group schedule against Birmingham Bears on Friday 18 June, with Derbyshire Falcons Women also facing Northamptonshire as part of a second double-header.
