Chesterfield-born Hosein graduated through the Derbyshire Academy in partnership with the University of Derby and made one of the most remarkable debuts in the history of the game.
Against Surrey at the Oval in 2014, he claimed 11 catches, a number only bettered once in domestic first class cricket. It was, however, a world record debut performance by a wicket-keeper and at the same time overtook the county record of 10 dismissals shared by Harry Elliott and Bob Taylor.
Hosein has now played 65 games in all formats for Derbyshire scoring 2,181 runs and taking 123 catches with seven stumpings.
He scored his maiden first class century against Worcestershire at Worcester in 2016 and added another against Leeds Bradford MCCU at Derby in 2019.
