Derbyshire County Cricket Club can confirm that batsman Neil Broom has requested to be released from his contract with immediate effect.
Broom, whose current deal with the Club runs until the end of the 2017 season, has made the request to allow him to return to international cricket with New Zealand, after he was named in the 13-man ODI squad to face Bangladesh starting later this month.
Derbyshire is currently in communication with Broom and New Zealand Cricket and will make a further statement in due course.
