Derbyshire County Cricket Club can confirm that Kim Barnett has stepped down from his cricket advisory role with immediate effect.
Specialist Twenty20 Coach John Wright and his coaching team will continue to lead the squad in the Vitality Blast.
The Supervisory Board will begin the process for the recruitment of the role of Head of Cricket in due course.
Chairman, Ian Morgan said: “Kim has provided invaluable support and guidance to the Club and it is undoubted that we have a more competitive squad now in all formats of the game.
“The Club would like to thank Kim for his contributions and wish him well for the future.”
