The Second XI friendly between Derbyshire and Yorkshire at Belper Meadows was abandoned on Day Three after heavy rain prevented any further play.

After Day One saw 17 wickets fall and more than 300 runs scored, Yorkshire held a lead of 33 runs heading into the second morning of the match.

However, heavy rainfall saw no play possible on Day Two, before the decision was made to abandon the match on Day Three.

Derbyshire have one Second XI Championship game remaining, which is against Middlesex at Denby, starting on Monday 2 September.
