Women’s domestic cricket will once again return to The Incora County Ground in 2024, with multiple fixtures set to take place throughout the season.
England Women will face Pakistan Women on Thursday 23 May, with the fixture being the first of the Women’s calendar at Derby, in what promises to be an exciting summer across both the women’s and men’s games.
Kicking off the women’s domestic season in Derby, the Blaze will visit on Sunday 16 June, as they take on the South East Stars in a family day double-header. This sees the Falcons take on Birmingham Bears, having defeated the Midlands side twice last year in the Vitality Blast.
The Blaze were extremely unlucky last year in the Charlotte Edwards Cup, having gone the whole tournament unbeaten before crucially losing out in the final to eventual winners Southern Vipers.
The Blaze will have the opportunity to go one better in 2024, and could feature in the Charlotte Edwards Cup Finals Day, which is set to take place at The Incora County Ground on 22 June.
A headline day in the women’s domestic calendar sees the pinnacle of the T20 season held in Derby, as we continue to be recognised as an important venue for hosting both domestic and international women’s fixtures.
Entering August, the Blaze will face off against the Sunrisers on 31 August in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy. During the 2023 campaign, the Blaze put in another strong performance, eventually finishing runners-up to Southern Vipers.
Don’t miss the opportunity to see the Blaze and England in action at The Incora County ground next season, as Derby-born Sarah Glenn has to potential to be on show for both sides in 2024!
