Former Derbyshire batsman Tony Borrington and after-dinner speaker David Kendall will be the special guests at the Club’s final 1870 Business Club Lunch of the season on Wednesday 23 September.

The lunch coincides with Day Two of the LV= County Championship fixture versus Leicestershire as Derbyshire wrap up their season at The 3aaa County Ground.

Derbyshire Vice-President Borrington played 122 first-class matches and 150 List-A games for the county between 1970 and 1981, scoring over 7,000 runs. Kendall is a former bank manager from Yorkshire who is now extremely popular on the after-dinner circuit.

Guests can enjoy first-class cricket and a four-course lunch at the event, in partnership with The Business Network, taking place in the Legends Lounge on the top floor of the Elite Performance Centre.

Proceedings start from midday; with the lunch ending at approximately 2.30pm. Tickets, which also include a matchday ticket and car parking, are available as part of the 1870 Business Club membership package or cost £40 plus VAT.
