Pre-Match Talk

Vice Captain Gary Wilson wants the Derbyshire squad to focus on their skill levels and have the right attitude during the Specsavers County Championship match against Leicestershire.

Wilson said: “It was disappointing to lose wickets in clusters on the last day, but we have a good opportunity now to play on our home ground again against Leicestershire and hopefully we can put in a good performance.

“If we look after our own game and do the right things then hopefully we can come out on the right side of the result.

“We have to play each ball as it comes as a batter and bowl each ball as a bowler. If we can nail our skill levels and have the right attitude, then hopefully the results down the line will take care of themselves.”
