Tom Taylor and Rob Hemmings have left Derbyshire by mutual consent.

The pair, who are both in the final year of their contracts, have been released from their current deals and leave the Club with immediate effect.

Taylor signed his first professional contract with Derbyshire in 2014 and featured in 25 first-class fixtures, taking 64 wickets and scoring 587 runs. In total, he made 30 appearances for the county across all forms.

Hemmings, who signed his first deal with the Club in 2015, made two first-class and two List A appearances for the county.

Cricket Advisor, Kim Barnett said: “Tom has shown that he has the potential to take wickets and this was recognised in 2015/16 when he was selected for the England Performance Programme.

“Rob has also demonstrated his potential at this level, but with opportunities likely to be limited for both in the coming season, we have agreed that they should be able to pursue their careers elsewhere and we wish them all the best for the future.”
