With just three days to go until the return of the Vitality Blast, we take a look a three great reasons to experience Twenty20 cricket at The Pattonair County Ground.

Reason #1: Explosive rivalries

Twenty20 cricket is the most explosive form of the game, and the Vitality Blast offers the best entertainment around, with fierce rivalries set to be renewed and old scores to be settled.

Led by Twenty20 Head Coach, Dominic Cork, Derbyshire will kick off their Vitality Blast campaign against rivals, Yorkshire at Queen’s Park, Chesterfield on Saturday 20 July in a 2:30pm start.

Last year’s fixture saw one of the most thrilling finishes to a match anywhere, when Matt Critchley struck former England Test bowler, Tim Bresnan for 22 off the final over to win the match for Derbyshire.

After that, the East Midlands Rivalry between the Falcons and Notts Outlaws will resume under the lights, with plenty of history between the two sides, the match is not one to be missed on Friday 26 July, 7pm start.

But that’s not all, there are five more explosive Twenty20 clashes at The Pattonair County Ground, with Derbyshire hosting Lancashire Lightning, Durham, Worcestershire Rapids, Leicestershire Foxes and Northants Steelbacks.

Reason #2: A great event for the whole family

Vitality Blast offers great entertainment for the whole family, whether you are a cricket fanatic, a casual supporter or a first-time visitor, young or old, there’s something for you.

Whether you fancy a Friday-night local derby under the lights or a Sunday afternoon Family Fixture, this year’s competition has something for every cricket fan.

Coming to the match as a family? Enhance your Vitality Blast experience with the Showcase Cinema de Lux Family Zone, where you can enjoy a host of activities, including a BatFast batting simulator.

A variety of food and drinks from brand new outlets are also available to buy around the ground throughout the Vitality Blast campaign.

Reason #3: Buy in advance and save

The best way to buy Vitality Blast tickets is in advance, which offers a saving of £4 compared to tickets purchased on the day of a match.

Tickets for all seven home games are on sale now and start at just £16 for adults and £4 for juniors when bought in advance of the fixture.
