VACANCY: Physiotherapist

Derbyshire County Cricket Club is recruiting a Physiotherapist to act as the primary Physiotherapist to the Club’s Senior and Academy playing squads, including matchday coverage for all First XI fixtures.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for the management of Physiotherapy service provision for the Second XI and Academy programmes.

Working closely with the Cricket Advisory Director, the Head Coach, the Academy Director and the Strength & Conditioning Coach, you will develop challenging and realistic injury prevention and performance development programmes for individual players.

Role requirements are as follows;

• Assessment and rehabilitation of injured First XI players
• Report back to coaching team daily on player injuries and prognoses
• Oversee onward referral for investigations and specialist consultations as appropriate, including liaising with medical insurers, medical secretaries and the club doctor (written and verbal communication)
• Development and implementation of all screening, monitoring and injury prevention programmes, working alongside the Strength and Conditioning Coach
• Collation of all relevant injury data
• Provide matchday care for First XI fixtures
• Appropriate record keeping of all physiotherapy interventions
• General department management and administration
• Work with and support the development of physiotherapy and sports therapy interns
• Oversee medical aspects of the ECB Science and Medicine audit (annual)
• Complete any training modules as required by ECB regulations or CPD
