Wayne Madsen says the signing of Hardus Viljoen will had huge fire power to the county’s bowling attack for the 2017 season.
The South Africa fast-bowler has joined Derbyshire on a three-year deal and Madsen is delighted to have him at the Club.
He said: “It’s great to have Hardus on board. He will add huge fire power to our bowling attack. We now have a great balance of youth and experience with our bowling line-up and it gives us a lot of confidence going in to next season.
“He’s been bowling rapidly in the matches I’ve seen on the TV over the last few weeks and I’m glad to have him on our side.”
Madsen also spoke to DerbyshireTV about winter training, how the squad is shaping up for the new season and plans for the New Year.
