Graeme Welch has named a 12-man squad for the three day Bell & Co Tourist Fixture versus Australia at The 3aaa County Ground, starting on Thursday.
Cricket Derbyshire Academy, in association with the University of Derby graduates Harry White, Will Davis and Rob Hemmings are in contention to make their first-class debuts after being included in the squad.
Jonathan Clare, meanwhile, has been named in a first team squad for the first time this season after fully recovering from an injury that ruled him out for the entire 2014 campaign.
Club Captain Wayne Madsen will lead the side which also includes New Zealand international Hamish Rutherford and fast bowler Tony Palladino, who scored his maiden first-class century against Australia A in 2012.
Wayne White, meanwhile, is ruled out through injury while Tom Taylor is also unavailable after he was involved in a car accident earlier this week, with Welch making the decision to give the 20-year-old a rest from this fixture.

OPPOSITION
Australia hit back in dramatic fashion in the Second Ashes Test at Lord’s, as they thrashed England by 405 runs to level the series at 1-1.
After losing the First Test in an underwhelming fashion, Australia roared back into the series with a dominant display that saw them amass 566-8 in the first innings with 215 from Steve Smith and 173 from former Derbyshire Captain Chris Rogers.
The tourists then took the required 20 wickets to wrap up victory on the fourth day with the pace trio of Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Johnson and Josh Hazlewood a threat throughout.
The three days at The 3aaa County Ground represents an opportunity for the squad’s fringe players to stake a claim for a place in the final three Test matches.
Batting all-rounder Shane Watson will be aiming for a return to form, while seam bowlers Peter Siddle and Pat Cummins will be hopeful of bowling themselves into contention for an Ashes spot.
Leg-spinner Fawad Ahmed and batsman Shaun Marsh are also set to play as Darren Lehmann considers his options for the remainder of the series.
