David Wainwright finished 77 not out whilst Rob Hemmings added 60 as Derbyshire Second XI set MCC Universities 377 to win at Denby.
Derbyshire had a 70-run lead from the first innings and built upon that before being dismissed for 306 in their second innings thanks to contributions from Wainwright, Hemmings and trialist M Houston who scored 40 opening the batting.
Hemmings had impressed with the bat in the first innings when he top-scored with 87 batting at number 11 and continued his form to finish with 147 runs in the match despite coming in last.
The visitors had five overs to face in their second innings on the evening of Day Two and completed them on 20 without loss, trailing Derbyshire by 356 going into the final day.
