Dilshan to make four-day return at Grace Road

Sri Lanka batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan makes his four-day return for the county as Derbyshire take on Leicestershire in the LV= County Championship at Grace Road; starting tomorrow.

Dilshan returned to Derby prior to the Royal London One-Day Cup victory against the same opponents on Tuesday and will now be available for both formats for the remainder of the season.

Opening batsman Ben Slater returns to the Derbyshire squad, with Warwickshire loanee Tom Milnes included in the squad for the first time.

Derbyshire will be looking to build on a seven-wicket victory against Northamptonshire at Wantage Road last time out, where Alex Hughes (111 not out) scored his maiden first-class hundred in the first innings after Mark Footitt had earlier claimed 5-41 to dismiss Northants for 116.

Opposition

Leicestershire sit at the foot of the Division Two table after recording one victory and eight defeats from their 11 fixtures so far this season.

They suffered a 155-run defeat to Gloucestershire last time out despite Clint McKay (5-59) and Charlie Shreck (5-82) both claiming five-wicket hauls during the match.

The likes of Ned Eckersley and Captain Mark Cosgrove provide the spine to the Leicestershire batting lineup, while Aadil Ali has recently found some form in the Royal London One-Day Cup.

They are also set to include bowling all-rounder Ben Raine in their lineup, who has claimed 44 LV= County Championship wickets at 27.09 this season.
