New signing Neil Broom has continued his recent good form hitting an unbeaten century for Otago this week, as we take a look at the Derbyshire players in New Zealand this winter.
Broom, who last month signed a two-year deal at the Club, struck 15 boundaries as he finished on 131 not out from 223 balls on the final day to help Otago earn a draw against Central Districts in New Zealand.
The international batsman boasts an impressive recent record of passing fifty in each of his last seven first-class matches, recording three centuries in the process. Broom, who also holds a UK passport, will be available for all forms from next summer and is eligible to feature alongside compatriot Hamish Rutherford for the entire campaign.
Teammate Rutherford, who will also be available for all forms for the entire 2016 season, was also in the runs hitting 79 in the first innings for Otago.
