As part of a regular winter feature, Derbyshire bowler Tony Palladino has picked a one-to-eleven of the best players he has taken to the field with throughout his career.

Palladino began his professional career at Essex in 2003 where he featured alongside England internationals Alastair Cook, Ravi Bopara and Darren Gough along with a host of talented overseas stars.

He made 38 first-class appearances for the county as he claimed 86 wickets, before signing for Derbyshire at the end of the 2010 season.

Palladino became an integral part of the Club’s bowling attack and was the leading wicket-taker in the promotion season of 2012 as he took 56 wickets at an average of 24.

The 32-year-old has now taken 232 wickets for Derbyshire across all formats and also struck his maiden first-class century in the tour match versus Australia A in 2012.

During that time, Palladino has played with some of world cricket’s leading names as well as players who have spent several seasons at The 3aaa County Ground including Wayne Madsen and Wes Durston.

After much deliberation, here is the final eleven that Palladino settled on.
