Wes Durston is looking to have a big impact with his bowling for Derbyshire in 2016 after displaying impressive form with the ball in the latter stages of the 2015 campaign.

The 35-year-old all-rounder secured a six-wicket haul in two of Derbyshire’s last three 2015 fixtures and is hoping to be able to continue that form throughout the winter and into the summer.

Durston is set to fly out to South Africa to captain the MCC in five 50-over fixtures and one two-day match during a two-week period, from December 27 to January 10, and get the chance to play on Test grounds at Durban and Cape Town.

Upon his return, Durston’s attentions will turn to the 2016 season with Derbyshire which he says will come around quickly after the Christmas break.
