Wes Durston says his tour of South Africa with the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) was a hugely beneficial trip, after he returned to Derby to continue his pre-season preparations.
Durston led the MCC to four victories out of the five games played, which also featured a standout performance against Western Provence Cricket in which the all-rounder hit 73 off 31 balls – including six sixes in an over.
The 35-year-old was pleased with how he performed and believes the opportunity to get competitive action under his belt will act as the ideal preparation ahead of the new campaign.
