Derbyshire has extended its partnership with Samurai Sportswear who will remain the Club’s official Kit Supplier until the end of the 2017 season.

The sportswear brand will continue to provide all Derbyshire playing and training kits across the three formats. Samurai will also supply kit for the Cricket Derbyshire Academy in partnership with the University of Derby in addition to the Derbyshire Cricket Board and the age group teams.

Derbyshire Chief Executive, Simon Storey said: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with Samurai as our official kit suppliers.

“Since switching to Samurai in 2014, they have provided us with quality service and products which coaches, players and supporters alike have all been very impressed with.

“Working closely with Samurai, we will continue to push the boundaries on kit design offering the best quality kit wear for our players on the field, while offering a wide range of consumer products off the field which our Members and supporters can wear with pride.”

Samurai Head of UK Sales, Mike Atkin said: “Through a lot of hard work by both parties we have been able to build up a strong relationship, and we are obviously delighted that Derbyshire have committed to an extension so early on in our original agreement.

“We will continue to work hard to create playing kit, leisurewear and retail ranges that the players, coaches and everyone involved with the club can be proud of.

“The club is ambitious and we look forward to being part of their plans going forward.”
