Derby’s leading insurance broker, Bell & Co, have agreed to become the Club’s tenants on the top floor of the new Media Centre complex.
The local insurance brokers, who are already the Club’s Preferred Insurance Partner, will move into the office space on the top floor of the new complex on 1 September 2016, following completion of the building work scheduled for August.
The new state-of-the-art Media Centre has been funded by a £2million grant from the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB), which will be received over seven years, with bridging finance supplied by Derby City Council.
Chief Executive, Simon Storey said: “It was vitally important to us to get a commercial tenant for the top floor of our new Media Centre and we’re delighted that long-term Club partners Bell & Co will be moving in later this summer.
“The rental income will provide a secure source of long-term income, while in the short term it will help pay the interest on the City Council bridging loan.
“Once the loan has been paid off, the rental income will go straight into the cricket budget as we continue our investment both on and off the field.
“We are grateful to the ECB and to Derby City Council for their financial support for our project, allowing us to continue to improve our facilities for both Members, spectators and partners.”
