Scott Elstone, Tom Knight and Harry White visited Etwall Cricket Club on Saturday 2 April to aid with the Club’s NatWest Cricket Force efforts.
The trio lent a hand as volunteers from Etwall CC gave the ground a facelift before the new club season gets underway later this month.
All three of the players helped paint the home and away dressing rooms before Elstone braved the cold and wet weather to sow the seeds for the new outdoor nets at the Club whilst Knight and White painted the ceilings in the pavilion.
The day was part of the ECB’s NatWest Cricket Force drive to help all local cricket clubs in England and Wales ensure that they are ready for the 2016 campaign.
Elstone said: “We are happy to have been able to help out at Etwall in any way we could. It was great to see so many local volunteers turn out in force to help the Club.
“Hopefully the added exposure from us lending a hand will help raise awareness for NatWest Cricket Force in Derbyshire.”
