Ben Cotton took 4-46 and Tom Taylor took 3-33 as Derbyshire Second XI bowled Lancashire Seconds out for 150 before ending Day Two on 123-3 with a lead of 77.
The visitors has begun the day in a precarious position on 91-7 in their first innings and were soon bowled out by their hosts for 104 as Lancashire took control early on.
Lancashire struggled in their reply though, with Derbyshire taking wickets throughout the innings after Cotton had taken two early to apply some pressure to the batsmen.
Before the innings was out, Cotton secured another two wickets, whilst Taylor took 3-33 including top-scorer Jordan Clark (48), as Lancashire collapsed to be 150 all out and secured a 46-run lead from the first innings.
There were 42 overs remaining for Derbyshire bat in the day, and they lost three wickets during that time. First was Ben Slater for 16, to end a half-century opening stand with Jonathan Tattersall.
Tattersall and Alex Hughes were both removed whilst the score remained on 112 with Tattersall falling for 48 – Derbyshire’s highest score in the match so far.
At the close of play, Derbyshire Second XI were 123-3, leading by 77 with Greg Cork unbeaten on 39 alongside Scott Elstone who had scored five.
