Derbyshire have agreed a partnership with global printer brand, OKI Systems UK, to become the first sponsors of the Club’s new state-of-the-art Business and Media Centre.
The new £2million centre, due to be completed this August, will be known as the OKI Business and Media Centre and will house written and broadcast media partners on all matchdays, plus two floors of commercial offices.
OKI, one of the UK’s leading printer brands, will get the opportunity to showcase the latest print and document management technology, while they will also be able to establish a customer demonstration suite within the complex.
The four-storey OKI Business and Media Centre has been constructed as part of phase two of the Club’s overall ground development project, which saw £1.4million pounds invested last winter, majority of which on improving facilities for Members in the 3aaa Pavilion.
Commercial Director, Ryan Duckett said: “OKI Systems are a worldwide brand and we’re delighted that they have decided to invest in Derbyshire.
“The new OKI Business and Media Centre will be a state-of-the-art centre for our media partners, off-field team and 1870 Business Club partners, Bell & Co, who will accommodate the top floor.
“We look forward to developing our partnership over the next few months.”
Andrew Hall, OKI Systems UK Marketing Manager, said: “We are delighted to give our name to such an exciting new enterprise and invest in the city of Derby.
“We’ve been impressed by the commitment of organisations such as Marketing Derby to encouraging business growth in the area, combined with the growing number of organisations that use the cricket club to do business via its 1870 Business Club.
“We look forward to welcoming our clients to the centre and enjoying many years of good cricket in the future.”
