Wes Durston says he looking forward to making his comeback for the Falcons on Friday night when Derbyshire travel to Worcestershire to take on the Rapids in the NatWest T20 Blast.

The white-ball Captain has been absent from the side since developing an intercostal muscle injury in the four wicket victory against Leicestershire Foxes.

His return will be a welcome addition back to the Falcons, as the 35-year-old is the Club’s most successful Twenty20 cricketer, scoring the most runs in the county’s history in addition to several other impressive stats.

Last season, Durston amassed 431 runs at a strike rate of 138.14 in the shortest format of the game. He was also in the Top 10 boundary-hitting batsmen in the competition.
