Derby’s leading insurance broker, Bell & Co, has agreed to sponsor the tour match versus Sri Lanka A at The 3aaa County Ground on Friday 15 July; 2pm start.

The Club’s Official Insurance Partner and future tenants of the OKI Business and Media Centre, the firm have further displayed their commitment to supporting the Club.

It is the second successive year that Bell & Co have supported international cricket at Derby, after they sponsored the three-day Australia tour match in 2015.

The floodlit 50-over match, which starts at 2pm, is likely to feature Sri Lanka’s Udara Jayasundera and Mahela Udawatte, both of whom have played international cricket at the highest level for their country.

Derbyshire, meanwhile, will use the fixture as vital preparation for the resumption of the Royal London One-Day Cup which returns with a visit to Welbeck Colliery to face Notts Outlaws on Sunday 24 July, before the match versus Lancashire Lightning at Derby in front of the Sky Sports cameras on Wednesday 27 July.

The Falcons currently sit top of the North Division of the Royal London One-Day Cup having gone unbeaten in the first round of four fixtures in the competition.

Commercial Director, Ryan Duckett said: “We’re delighted to further extend our partnership with Bell & Co.

“The Derby-based insurance experts have thrown their name behind the Club’s tour fixture for a second summer running and this comes after the firm signed a deal to become the first tenants of the top floor of our new OKI Business & Media Centre from September.

“We now look forward to what should be a great occasion next week, with international cricket once again hosted at Derby.”

Bell & Co Managing Director, Richard Salt added: ”These are very exciting times for cricket supporters in Derbyshire, with this fixture and next year’s ICC Women’s World Cup.

“We are delighted to continue the Bell & Co Tour match, having thoroughly enjoyed last year’s event and we hope to continue this brand association with local international cricket in the future.”

Tickets for the only international fixture to be held in Derby in 2016 are reasonably priced at £14 for adults if purchased before the day of the game. Click HERE to purchase for Derbyshire vs Sri Lanka A.
