East Midlands Trains are offering supporters traveling from Chesterfield or Sheffield a discounted train ticket for this Sunday’s fixture at The 3aaa County Ground, Derby.
Due to a saturated outfield at Queen’s Park, the Club made the decision to move this Sunday’s NatWest T20 Blast fixture versus Yorkshire Vikings to Derby; 2.30pm start.
For those planning on traveling from Chesterfield or Yorkshire, the Club has agreed a discounted train ticket with East Midlands Trains which can be used on Sunday.
Tickets are available for only £7 return for Chesterfield to Derby, and £7.50 return for Sheffield to Derby.
The ticket would need to be purchased by calling East Midlands Trains on 0345 712 56 78 option 4, 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday, and quoting ChesterfieldT20.
This would need to be purchased before 7pm on Friday 8 July. Tickets will not be available at the discounted price from stations.
East Midlands Trains Business Development Manager, George Selby, said: “We’re proud to be partners of Derbyshire County Cricket Club, but we’re also supporters of cricket in Derbyshire and we wanted to do our bit to help supporters make the big local derby with Yorkshire, now due to take place at Derby.
“We hope many supporters, both from Derbyshire and Yorkshire, can still travel and take in what should be a great occasion this Sunday.”
This offer is for East Midlands Trains services only. Tickets are only available between Sheffield/Chesterfield and Derby on Sunday 10 July.
There are no time restrictions and passengers can travel at any time through Sunday, as long as it is on an East Midlands Trains service.
